Bethany Thomas, BA, MA Intern
Collaborative, strengths-based therapy for teens, young adults, and families
Hi, I’m Bethany—a master’s level counseling intern at Breathe Counseling. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families who are navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, ADHD, or simply feeling stuck. Whether you’re processing big emotions or working toward personal growth, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
My style is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you take back ownership of your thoughts, emotions, and choices. I draw from a variety of approaches—Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Sandtray, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy—so we can tailor our work to what fits you best.
I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering space, insight, and support as you explore where you’ve been and where you want to go. Whether you’re facing something painful or hoping to “level up,” therapy can be a powerful place to begin.
I hold a BA in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and am completing my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. I also bring 6+ years of field experience, with training in crisis intervention, sexual assault advocacy, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based tools for teens and families.
A little about me:
I’m a mom, a hiker, and a firm believer in the healing power of nature, good books, and good food. I prioritize self-care in my own life so I can show up as my best self in the therapy room—and give you the grounded, present support you deserve.
If you’re ready to begin your journey, I’d be honored to join you.
